13 in attendance: Heidi Carey, Valerie Bergeron, Jo-Ala Markson, Lynne Long, Sue Collins, Julia Ficici, Rick Honer, Tim Neville, Cindy Cilley, Sarah Lapointe (PTO Secretary), Jodie Gallant (PTO Co-President), and Dee Dee McCain (PTO Co-President), Rich Hines
Meeting Opened 6:26 PM
Review of April minutes: Jo-Ala motioned to accept and Tim seconded
Treasurer Report: Tim motioned to accept and Rich seconded
· $123 made tonight from Basket Raffle and Lynne Long (from Game Night)
Updates:
Teacher Appreciation Week: Great feedback! Came in within budget. Had budgeted $1560 ($12p/staff x 130). Actual $12 x 117 = $1404
Volunteer Appreciation: Went over well. 10 RSVP’d and came.
AIR programs: No PTO PowerPoint because of setup. Programs very successful!
Flower Power: We raised $2500! Great spring fundraiser! Flowers should be shipping this week. Not 1 order is being shipped back to schools!
Fall Fundraiser:
MeadowFarms out of MA- Samples and catalogs reviewed. Jodie proposed an October 1st kick off (Friday) and back by October 15th, processed by October 20th. Need to raise at least $6500 in order to earn 50% profit (we exceed this every year). Pick up will be easy, there is a teacher incentive, and we will be the only schools in the Lakes Region using MeadowFarms! Jodie motioned to accept MeadowFarms as the 2010 Fall Fundraiser and Sue seconded.
Graduation Morning Support: June 18th. PTO to pay for no more than $250 for supplies and decorations for the 5th grade graduation. Tim motioned to accept and Dee Dee seconded. Decorating will be on June 17th.
Board Nominations:
-Dawn Cilley for Volunteer Coordinator (Southwick School)
-Cindy Cilley for Treasurer- Sue nominated and Julia seconded. Cindy accepted nomination
-Sue Collins for Volunteer Coordinator (Union Sanborn) - Julia nominated and Cindy seconded. Sue accepted nomination
-Heidi Carey for Volunteer Coordinator (Union Sanborn) - Dee Dee nominated and Lynne seconded. Heidi accepted nomination
-Rick Honer for Co-President- Sarah nominated and Tim seconded. Rick accepted nomination
Vote will be at next month’s meeting!
Open Items:
RIF-same amount for next year. $1200 needed for Southwick. May be able to move the PBIS monies to RIF for $1650
Jo-Ala- toe tokens are in for the walking program and the kids are excited about collecting them!
