Julie will have it delivered on Monday 4/30 after April vacation. The vendor will package the product by student by teacher. Judie will do a flyer before vacation and one for Monday the 30th. Tuesday 5/1 is pick up – anything not picked up will be donated. The group put together individual lists for volunteer appreciation. Cindy is checking with the schools about the long list that was provided to be sure it is what we did last year. Rick will put these individual lists together into a final list and let Judie know the count so she can contact Jonathan Dupuis for cost of gift cards. Cindy reported that the PTO spent $225 last year for gift cards at Dipsy Doodle. The group agreed to do the same as last year for teacher appreciation week. Judie and Heidi should start getting donations for “raffle” items for Friday of teacher’s appreciation week. Cindy reported that $2000 is budgeted for teacher appreciation week. The dates are May 7-11. The group decided to do $45 gift cards for teachers and get most other things donated. Rick is chairing Mom’s breakfast. Dates are May 16 (SS) and May 23 (USS). Mr. Hines reported that there are 78 students in the 5th grade; we have some decorations in the storage closest but need more; Cindy will ask BJ’s to donate the 2 cakes. Heidi will talk to Autoserv about donating balloons. Leigh Anne Phelps is nominated for co-president. The group discussed how to get more volunteers and board members. Julie and Judie need to check the bylaws if we can re-elect the same person. Everyone will try to get more volunteers before next meeting. Mrs. Laureti will send addresses of new kindergarten parents to PTO. The vote for new positions (co-president, treasurer and volunteer coordinator) will occur at the May 3rd meeting. Mr. Hines and Mrs. Laureti suggested that some earlier meetings - maybe after school – may bring in some more teachers. Also, if the PTO showcased a grade, for example 4th graders come in to show what they are doing in writing, more parents may get involved. Meeting adjourned at 7:35pm.
